Alex Otti commissions 14 new roads in Abia [FULL LIST]

On Tuesday, June 10, the governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, commissioned 14 new road projects across the city of Aba.

The newly commissioned roads, Politics Nigeria gathered is part of the first phase of a 55 project initiative of the governor.

These road projects, the state government said will be commissioned throughout the coming weeks.

Addressing residents at the St. Joseph’s College (CKC), Asa Triangle, Aba, Otti said the construction of these roads is the beginning of a new era in the state.

He stated that this initiative stems from his administration’s effort and committment to the total restoration of the Aba urban corridor.

His words, “While we rejoice at what we have been able to accomplish in the last two years in the area of road infrastructure and the opportunities that have been created, the real accomplishments should be seen in terms of the hopes that have been restored, dreams we have revived, and the collective stories we have created for our children and children’s children.”

The newly commissioned roads include

1 Umuode Road – 1.500km

2 Bakassi Road – 0.600km

3 Isu lhiteukwa Street – 0.300km

4 Asa Triangle Road – 0.500km

5 Enyimba Junction – Ariaria Gate Road – 0.300km

6 Market Road (Rehabilitated: Asa to Eziukwu) – 0.744km

7 Tenant Road (Rehabilitated: Asa to Eziukwu) – 0.740km

8 Cameroun Road (Rehabilitated: Asa to Eziukwu) – 0.711km

9 Ehi Road (Rehabilitated: Queens to Eziukwu) – 0.500km

10 Clifford Road (Reconstructed: Asa to Eziukwu) – 0.836km

11 School Road (Rehabilitated: Asa to Railway Crossing) – 0.729km

12 Afikpo Road (Reconstructed: Azikiwe to School Road) – 0.480km

13 Milverton Road

14 Obohia Bypass
