Tinubu won’t run in 2027, he’ll stroll into the Villa – Adeyanju warns

A human rights activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju has said that Pressent Bola Tinibu would not be contesting the 2027 presidential election like everyone believes he would.

Adeyanju said the president only needs to stroll into the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock Abuja without a contest.

In a post shared on X, Adeyanju said those who plan to oust the president from office need more than a coalition to achieve that.

According to the lawyer, the level of momentum and energy used to unseat former president Goodluck Jonathan is absent in the move being made by the coalition.

He wrote on X, “Tinubu is not running in 2027, he will stroll into the villa from the look of things.

“It will take more than a coalition to defeat him and unfortunately I am not seeing the 2015 seriousness, momentum and coordination that removed GEJ from power,” Adeyanju stated.

He, however, noted that with the general elections scheduled to take place in 2027, there is still time for more planning and intense politicking.

“Although, two years is still a long time in politics but as of today, Tinubu has already secured 2nd term,” Adeyanju added.

Recall that Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president of Nigeria, former governor Nasir El-Rufai and other key political actors have been championing a coalition against the present All Progressives Congress (APC) led government.

While many are hopeful that the coalition will be able to unseat the president in 2027, others believe that Tinubu is bound to complete his second tenure.
