JUST IN: Police officer rescued from kidnappers in Katsina after 2 months in captivity

A police constable Nura Ibrahim has been successfully rescued from his abductors in Katsina State.

Constable Ibrahim was kidnapped two months ago by some bandits along the Danmusa to Yantumaki road in Katsina State.

He was abducted at about 18:40 hours on April 15, 2025, Zagazola Makama, a counter-terrorism expert said.

Makama also stated that Ibrahim was attached to the Danmusa Police Division before his abduction.

According to him, sources privy to his rescue said the police constable was rescued unhurt.

He was rescued by a team of police operatives at about 7 pm on Monday, June 16, 2025.

The constable has since been taken to the Danmusa General Hospital in Katsina State for medical evaluation and subsequent observation.

The police, however, is yet to issue an official statement on the successful rescue of the constable from his abductors.
