The chairman of the Ekiti State Education Trust Fund, Professor Caleb Igbalajobi is dead.
Igbalajobi died on Sunday, June 8, 2025, according to a statement released by his son, Olumuyiwa Igbalajobi, the Founder, Scholarships Cafe.
Olumuyiwa described the late professor as a man who was deeply committed to the principles of hard work, selfless service, integrity, and utmost dedication.
A distinguished scholar of special education, the late Igbalajobi was also committed to advocating for access to
inclusive, qualify education for all.
He earned his postgraduate degrees from Fourah Bay College and completed his PhD at the University of Oregon in the 1980s.
Recently appointed to the position of the chairman of the state’s education trust fund, Olumuyiwa was dedicated to bridging the gap between educators and students.
A mentor to several students and teachers alike, the late professional contributed immensely to both national and international academic discourse.
The family wishes to inform the public that funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
