By the Special Adviser on Public Communication
The Special Adviser on Public Communication to Hon. (Elder) Leke Joseph Abejide, Bashiru Abdul Mohammed, has described his principal — a two-term serving federal lawmaker — as the very air and oxygen the African Democratic Congress (ADC) breathes.
Bashiru further described Abejide not only as the national leader but also as the financial bulldozer and the surviving pillar of the ADC, irrefutably earning him the title of the party’s proprietor.
Addressing a cross-section of journalists in the FCT, Bashiru dismissed as false and misleading a recent statement credited to one Mr. Dare Olatunde. He described Olatunde’s remarks as baseless, pointing out that his character lacks consistency, credibility, and the stability required to challenge Abejide’s proprietorship role within the ADC.
In the spirit of comradeship, the Special Adviser urged Mr. Olatunde to desist from making inflammatory remarks against Abejide — a man from whose recommendations, nominations, and support Olatunde had once benefited.
Hon. Abejide, who also serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Customs & Excise, remains unshaken and focused on delivering quality leadership and fulfilling his mandate to his constituents, with a vision for national inclusivity and growth.
